The legendary ship that bears the name of the famous Cutty Sark worn by the lovely young witch that pursued Tam O'Shanter to the Brigadoon in Robert Burns immortal poem in 1791. She was launched at Dumbarton on the river Clyde, Scotland, on the 22nd November 1869 and was especially designed for speed so that she could arrive first each year with the Chinese tea cargo.
