The steamer tugboat Altsu-Mendi was built in the Euskalduna
shipyard of Bilbao in 1913 for the Sota and Aznar Company. Well
known for her power, she performed salvage and towing operations
around the Bay of Biscay. She took part in the Matxitxako Battle
during the Spanish Civil War.
