Although they may look simple the wheelbarrows which were made in country workshops were considered to be testing exercise for the young craftsman.
Balance and durability were important,so the design had to be considered carefully.
This example is one of the last burrows made at a Sussex village workshop.

Plan - Monmouthshire Farm Waggon 1/8th Scale

Built in a village wheelwright's shop on the Welsh border, this lovely little waggon preserves the traditional style of the district.
It has panelled sides with chamfered wooden standards, a sweeping line in the body and beautifully curved parts in the shafts.
There is plenty of detail to give an interesting model,while the basic contruction is simple enough to present no problems.
So I particularly recommend this for your first waggon model.
