Membership

 

How does membership work?

 Membership is purchasable for £6.50 and entitles you to a 5% discount on all your orders* for up to a year. Membership lasts from September-August; so to make the very best of it, ensure to upgrade your account to membership status in August! Around the time your membership ends, we’ll also send you our latest catalogue. For example, if you placed an order for membership valid from 2010 August to 2011 August, you’d receive the 2012 catalogue for free. We’ll also be sending you a membership card with your own unique number on it, so, if you feel like placing an order over the phone, just quote that number and we’ll apply the discount.

* Excluding annuals/membership renewals.

 

What should I do if my discount doesn’t show when purchasing online?

Please ensure you are logged in, “prior” to adding any items to your cart. If you’ve already added items to your cart before logging in, please remove the items, log in and try again. If, for some reason the discount still doesn’t seem to have been applied, send us an email letting us know and we’ll sort it out from there.

 

Delivery


How long does delivery take?

• Orders are processed the working day after they are made on our website.

For example, if an order is placed on 25/2/11 (Friday) it will be processed on 28/2/11 (Monday).

• Delivery time varies, dependant on the service used and date of dispatch.

For Royal Mail 2nd class, orders should take up to 4 working days.

For Parcel Force, orders should take up to 2 working days.

 

Export

 

How do I place an export order?

• Make sure you’re logged into the website.

• Add the items you wish to purchase to the cart.

• Make a request for international shipping.

• [Optional] Type a short message

• Wait for a quote

• Once you’ve received the quote, log into your account and click “My quotations”, “add to cart”, then “proceed to checkout”. From there, you input your information and the order is complete.

 

Do you ship to my country?

Yes we do.

 

How long does it take to provide a quote?

Unfortunately, our system is not yet capable of providing an automated quote. Because of this, the average time to receive a quote is up to 2 working days. Please bare in mind, if you have requested a quote we will get back to you on it. Placing more quotes for the same items will only delay our reply.

 

How long does delivery take?

Deliveries for our export orders are usually received within 2 weeks of dispatch.

 

Can I track my delivery?

If your order is over £50 or above 2Kg in weight then your order should have a tracking number. As of yet, we don’t have an automated tracking system but if you’re wondering where your order is, send us an email, requesting the tracking number and we’ll reply to you as soon as possible with a code.

Why are there so few pictures on your website?

Our website is still in it’s infant stages and being worked on most days to become more user friendly. Please bear with us during this time. As we have approx 10,000 items, it is going to take some time to upload pictures and information for them all.

 

I requested a new password, but it doesn’t work… Help?

Send us an email to mail@hobby.uk.com confirming email address, name, address and phone number and we’ll arrange for a temporary password to be applied to your account.
