This actual model dates from 1888 and the copper cylinder held 40 gallons of water in which sodium bicarbonate was dissolved to which was added sulphuric acid.

A familiar sight on our city streets until 30 years ago,the coal trolley makes an attractive subject for a model and ,whilst quite straighforward to make, there is interesting detail in the springs and various fittings.
These plans consist of 3 sheets which give assembly drawings, cutting patterns and instructions for the basic dray, there is also a fourth sheet which has details of the coal merchants fittings.
